MCS crankcase bushings give Harley-Davidson engine builders the precision bearing surfaces needed to support the crankshaft and camshaft assemblies within the engine cases on Big Twin and Sportster models. The crankcase bushing controls the radial running clearance of the shaft it supports — a worn bushing allows excessive play that introduces noise, vibration and progressive wear that spreads to the cam lobes, crankpin and associated components. MCS supply crankcase bushings machined to the interference-fit and bore tolerances specified for Harley-Davidson engine applications, ensuring correct installation without under-size conditions that leave clearance or over-size conditions that crack the surrounding case material.
